Cannabis is probably the prime example of an industry that as recently as 15 years ago had zero infrastructure, zero branding, and zero availability beyond local sources. With the legalization of cannabis came the need for education around the natural properties of CBD, the importance of responsible farming, and the usual issues in CPG around packaging and distribution. Siskiyou Sungrown was one of the original cannabis brands, and in a fast-changing industry filled with newcomers bringing flashy brands and cheap price points, is one of the few staying true to their values and quality standards. Anticipating a need to grow market share regionally, I was engaged to help build a brand-focused marketing infrastructure, as well as coach executive leadership on the value of brand strength and long-term focus.
